What is MyMoneySites?

MyMoneySites is a site to help you make money online. Period. The directory here contains over 100 legitimate, high quality sites that you can use to make extra money in your spare time. New sites - and even new categories - are added to the directory continuously.

Is this too good to be true?

No, there really are a lot of sites out there that will pay you for your participation. How this works exactly varies from site to site, which is why the directory is divided into different categories with information provided for each site.

Keep in mind: a minimal effort is required, and these sites are not ways to "get rich quick". But take a look around and you are sure to find a number of sites that you enjoy using, while making money in the process. It's a great way to make some extra money from the comfort of home.

How do these sites pay me?

Each site in the directory has its own rules for how you get paid as well as how often you are paid.

The two most common ways to be paid are via check (which is mailed to you) or through PayPal. PayPal is a large online payment site with over 100 million users. It is free to sign up, and you can use your PayPal account with a bank account or credit card to send and receive payments. Many sites in the directory use PayPal exclusively to pay their users, as it allows them to easily send payments all over the world. PayPal is also a common form of payment on large, well-known sites such as eBay.

What guidelines are there for sites listed in this directory?

MyMoneySites does have several important guidelines that should help maintain a high quality directory. These are:

• Free membership - Sites in the directory must be free to sign up with. Note that some sites may have premium services that they charge a fee for, but general use of the site must be free.
• No scams - Sites that rely on pyramid schemes and other dubious methods are not included. Sites that have a poor record of paying their users are also not included.
• No "pay to surf" sites - Sites that offer programs like pay to surf, pay to search, or pay to read emails are not included. Such programs have generally shown to be unreliable for making money, or pay very little for the effort required.
• No "lottery" sites - Sites that only offer their users chances to win money in sweepstakes or lotteries are not included. Sites that have a sweepstakes can be included if they also have other, more guaranteed ways of compensating their users for participation.
• Respect your privacy - Sites in the directory should have good privacy policies and should not share your personal signup information with anyone you do not authorize them to.

Sites marked with the small gold dollar sign are MyMoneySites recommended sites. All sites in the directory are quality sites that you can use to make extra money; however, the sites marked with this symbol are standout sites in their category representing the top 20-30% of sites in the directory. MyMoneySites recommends you try these sites first - especially if you are new to a particular section - and then return and try the other sites in that category.

Note: the Assorted Money Making Sites section does not use the recommended sites symbol.
